If you haven’t reviewed your roster listing, please do so right away. I would like to get a corrected roster sent out after the meeting this Thursday. You shoud have received a copy of the member roster in email.

Lines in the water at 7:00 and weigh in at 1:30 at Sherry’s Bait and BBQ. Text David Thornton(678-549-7288) with your teams or if you need a team to fish with.

Note: Over the next 3 weeks the crappie will be laying eggs. A single female can lay from 5,000-60,000 eggs.

Let’s do our part to keep a healthy crappie population in our lake by only keeping the fish we intend to eat immediately.

For this tournament only keep your 7 biggest fish for weigh in.

Woody and Mike Martin are heading up this new tournament. Participants will meet their captain at the ramp of his choosing. Lunch and weigh in will be at Sherry’s Bait and BBQ. Call Woodie to be a captain or to help with this event.

Hunter Roop with DNR was the guest speaker at the member meeting. He told us that the crappie population in Lake Lanier is doing well! Good news for us.

Josh announced the 2# fish club reward: dinner for two if caught during a Saturday club tournament or one of the weekday challenge tournaments.

Fishing With Military Heroes will be held at Bolding Mill Park on April 23rd. If you can be a captain, please call Lawrence Crisp at 678-936-2007. If you are affiliated with another fishing club, please see if any of their captains can volunteer to help with this event.

This year’s Children’s Tournament will be for non-member children ONLY.

The Family Fishing Day will be for members only. Dana Larbus is in charge of this event. Thanks Dana!

We will be generating a list of members that would like to fish more. Those that would like to help others get out there more often can use the contact information we publish to invite someone.

The list of captains that are open to taking others to fish will be updated and republished. If you want to fish more,  feel free to call any captain on that list. MORE ON BOTH OF THESE SOON.

While our fish fries are covered, we need a volunteer to be in charge of setting up and monitoring the food and drink tables for problems during other food based events. That includes the pig roast, low country boil, chili cookoff and Christmas party. It does not have to be the same person for all of them. Please note that the things you will need to set up and monitor will be delivered to the site and that you are free to ask for volunteers to help you do the work. If you can take on this project, please call Josh Thornton at 770-530-6493.

If you would like to have a shirt embroided with the Crappie Club Logo, bring a shirt to the meeting on Thursday and give it to Woodie or Judy.  Please print your full name on a piece of paper and pin it to your shirt. The cost of this is $15 per logo which you should give to Woodie or Judy.
